About the testers
HI-772 Seawater/Marine Alkalinity (dKH) Colorimeter - Checker®HC
Ideal for salt water aquariums and coral reef tanks.
Designed exclusively for saltwater aquariums, the HI-772 checker offers a quick, easy and highly accurate method of measuring alkalinity in degrees of calcium hardness, dKH.
Alkalinity helps to maintain a stable pH, a vital factor for most aquatic life. Corals also need an adequate level of alkalinity in order to support healthy growth: if levels are too low, corals cannot precipitate and form their skeletons; if levels fluctuate too much or too quickly, growth can become impaired.
The more precise and stable the levels, the better the results. With regular, precise monitoring, fluctuations in levels can be quickly corrected, giving your corals the best chance of success.
HI-98319 Marine Waterproof Salinity Tester
The HI-98319 waterproof salinity and temperature tester is perfect for any saltwater aquarium. A more accurate alternative to refractometers, this tester uses conductivity to determine salinity levels of natural and artificial seawater. Ideal for testing salinity in salt water aquariums, it is quick and easy to use and provides digital readout of both salinity and temperature.
Salinity results are displayed in either parts per thousand (ppt), Practical Salinity Units (PSU), or Specific Gravity (SG).
Our marine salinity tester is supplied complete with batteries and solutions allowing you to start measuring right away. Also displays temperature.
HI-758 Marine Calcium Handheld Colorimeter - Checker®HC
Ideal for salt water aquariums and coral reef tanks.
Designed to measure calcium in reef tanks, the Hanna Calcium Checker is perfect for corals and marine life.
HI-774 Marine Phosphate ULR Checker HC colorimeter
The HI-774 Ultra Low Range Phosphate Checker® HC (Handheld Colorimeter) provides a simple, accurate and cost effective way to measure phosphate from 0.00 to 0.90 ppm.
Phosphate is an important parameter to measure in aquaculture and aquariums. Levels that are too high can lead to extensive algae growth, depleted dissolved oxygen levels, and ultimately can be fatal to many types of fish and aquatic life.
HI-774-25 Marine Phosphate ULR Reagents – ascorbic acid x 25.
These reagents are designed to be used with samples that have an expected range of 0.00 to 0.90 ppm phosphate.
HI-70436 Distilled Water 3.75L
HI-70436 De-ionised water, 3.75 L, for your research needs.
- Air-tight seal to ensure the quality of the solution
