The HI-96750 measures the potassium (K) content in water samples in the 0.0 to 10.0 mg/L (ppm) for low range and 10 to 100 mg/L (ppm) for medium range. Supplied with 2 cuvettes and caps.

Battery powered – Allows use away from a power source. Batteries are included with all battery operated products.
Water Resistant – Can withstand temporary exposure to water, but should not be submerged or washed under running water.

Potassium Portable Photometer

The HI-96750 uses the Tetraphenylborate Method. The reaction between potassium and reagents causes turbidity in the sample.

Potassium as a chemical element is commonly found in nature. It is present in soil and drinking water and is also an essential element for the growth of plants and animals.

Potassium concentration is important in determining the quality of soil in many greenhouse, agriculture and horticulture applications. Potassium salts are also a common component of fertilisers.

Designed for precision

With the Hanna calibration check validation function, users can verify the performance of the meter quickly and easily at any time. Using Hanna NIST traceable standards, it takes just a few moments to check the accuracy of the instrument and to recalibrate as and when necessary.

All new instruments are factory calibrated at source and the electronic and optical design of the Hanna photometers minimises the need for frequent calibration. The Hanna calibration check further minimises the frequency with which instruments need to be returned to the calibration laboratory for full servicing.

Interference may be caused by: The following ions do not interfere below these concentrations: Ammonium 10ppm, Calcium 10000ppm as CaCO3, Chloride 12000ppm, Magnesium 8000ppm as CaCO3, Sodium 8000ppm. Colour or suspended matter in large amounts will cause interference.
